Dylan had an ultrasound done last week. The good news is that there doesn't seem to be any portal hypertension or varicies. Dylan's liver and spleen are very large, larger than they have ever been. His doctor has started him on lactalouse to bring down his ammonia levels. We have also foud out he is allergic to Septra and Augmentin. The hives are all over and won't go away. It will take some time. Dylan will meet with the transplant team pretty soon.

dylan has hit a few bumps in the road. the doctors have started throwing terms around. portal hyertension, bleeding varices and so on. i really feel overwhelmed at this point. i just don't want to have to go down the transplany road yet. not my baby... why him. i guess no one really knows. i just keep praying it will turn out ok in the end. you really learn what having faith is all about in situations like this.
